Re: Other changes for 3.0

Question about your database, Will a character sheet be able to refer to a database to determine what to roll? I envision a database that has say a weapons list with the weapon's attack roll, damage, crit, etc., and a checkbox to check if the character has the weapon. if so, the weapon would automat...

Re: Critical hit: a simple way?

while there are factors that can alter your damage, you can set it up in a chart. on the side of your chart, you would have your weapon choices. along the top, you would have your attack choices like wielding 2 handed, one handed, sneak attack, or combinations thereof. where they meet in the chart w...

Re: Critical hit: a simple way?

for maximized calculations all you would need to do is replace "+ d6 +" with "+ 6 +" or for 7d6 you would replace it with 7 * 6. you don't need to roll a maximized spell damage. just calculate it. To speed up gameplay, have stuff like your maximized damage calculated before hand as that info only ch...

Re: Char Sheets

I'm trying to make a roll that does 2 things. its supposed to compare the dice rolled to determine if any doubles are rolled and apply a focus and stat bump to the roll. I use 2 "#" variables. #1 is a text variable, that along with an if statement, determines which formula to use. I suppose I could ...

Re: The Dicenomicon for OS X

This is awesome. it would help with editing the visual of the character sheets greatly as you wouldn't need to export/import all the time to the iphone/ipad, just close program, edit file, load program to see changes. Is there going to be a version for the PC sometime in the future with the same cap...

Re: Best XML Editor

the problem I have been having with most xml editors, is because most of the code is in strings, especially the visual portion of the character sheet code, the wysiwyg view of the code doesn't display any of the buttons, bars, labels, or placement of said items properly.

Re: Making a character sheet for Dragon Age RPG

Section 4 the test for an attack roll is similar to a stat test, but for these rolls, we need to know if doubles are rolled. this is the main reason why each d6 needs its own variable, so we can compare the dice before we add the totals. the roll would be: @1 <- Gd6. @2 <- Gd6. @3 <- Rd6. if @1 = @2...

Section 3 roll side, just lists final results settings side locations for Speed (=Race base+DEX+Armor penalty(negative number)) Defense (=10+DEX+Shield bonus) Armor (is treated as damage reduction. not planning on having a hit-point tracker on the sheet) Armor Penalty (applied as a penalty to speed ...

Re: Making a character sheet for Dragon Age RPG

Section 2 Stats and Focuses the formula I have been using for basic stat tests is: @1 <- Gd6. @2 <- Gd6. @3 <- Rd6. if #1 = "None" then @4 <- @1 + @2 + @3 + #2 else @4 <- @1 + @2 + @3 + 2 + #2 end. "\- Total =" + @4 + "\- Dragon Die =" + @3 all basic test and attack rolls use 3d6 with one an off col...
