Re: Dicenomicon+1

"Indiana Jones! I am so pleased you're not dead!"

I would be very much interested in helping to test this new version. And for what it's worth, I already have Test Flight installed.

Re: Dicenomicon 3.1.1 Bug Reports

Just wanted to report that 1/2 dice Hero System dice aren't working. It's not just in Hero dice, either. If you specify a half-die in the formula (e.g. explicitly request 4 1/2 d6), you'll get the half-die, but if it's in the form #1 d6 where #1 is set to allow halves, the half-die is neither rolle...

Re: Dicenomicon 3.1.1 Bug Reports

BOD is working nicely now, thank you very much. Shake to reroll returns old results in a lot of cases now. If it's based on a formula, even one as simple as 3d6+5, it returns the "original" throw as a result. The result is reflected in the log, too. Using the lower-left reroll button (with the upper...

Re: BOD Broken?

You have a bit more going on there than that; BOD is syntactically weird. The code example you provided isn't how the app stores it. The first line of the example you posted reduces down to: @1 <- #1 dBOD ...as if BOD was not just something that re-interpreted the numbers in a given roll, but as if ...

Re: Dicenomicon 3.1 Bug report

Then there's the BOD function. Yes, people still play Champions. In 3.0.4, it had a syntactic problem which would halt script processing, but worked as advertised. In 3.1, it has broken clean through. It monkeys with script processing, and no longer works . (original thread with code snippets) (And ...

Re: BOD Broken?

Update: I had found a new way to write the formula that got around the problem. It went like this: "\-%2 STUN,\n%1 BODY" % ( #1 d6 , $1 BOD It neatly formatted the statement, included the BODY and STUN text after each, and it even put the BODY first and set them on separate lines for marginally easi...

Victoriana Black & White

The die-rolling convention of Victoriana (and Airship Pirates) runs like this: Roll a number of white dice equal to your ability, plus a number of black dice corresponding to the difficulty of the task. Count all 1s and 6s. Roll another white die for every white 6 that comes up. Every black "success...

BOD Broken?

I play Champions, and I thought that this app would be great for that as well. And by and large it seems to be, but the behavior of the BOD die type is annoying. The default Normal Attack die roll in Champions looks like: #1 d6 + "STUN", $1 BOD X + "BODY" And I don't know what to put after the BOD t...
