Thanks for addressing this... pretty much confirmed my suspicions.... not sure why it is apparently performs far worse on Tiger than Leopard though - Leo if anything is way more memory intensive as an OS... so when you load a memory intensive application on same the result if anything should show wo...

Tiger gets indigestion with this.

Hi Andreas... I have noted you on your dA account about the results of testing the product now that I finally have had an opportunity to do so. As you know It simply did not cut it for me at all on Tiger.... I took Leopard off my machine a few days ago for other issues but oddly enough Prime behaved...

1.2b2 - observations

Hi Glenn Good to see some of the issues mentioned in other threads fixed. I played with the new beta for about 10 minutes earlier on. Bubble Spiral Script now working without a problrem as does the alpha export function however still the same problem when you come to saving your render to designated...

That would rock! Or maybe the possibiliy to export to Apo's format and I could use it as a mini render-farm type utility on the Flame 3 renderer. I hate windows but don'tmind rendering on iteven if itcrashes the desktop 9 times out 0f 10. That said I love the quick renders that QF produces - particu...

(n) couraging. I tried all you suggested (I really only needed to try and affect Affine #2) - I played for a few hours and it seems the only way to get rid of these artefacts at rendertime is to plunge the flame into almost total darkness. Even the example pic above is way darker than the original r...

Thanks - I'll give it a try and just focus on these few. Lastnight I spent hours playing with each flame one by one and no matter what I did with iterations, density and detail and still it wouln't clean up withthe exception of rge centre sphere. Just wondering why it has to be so complicated with F...

Maybe I'm not sure that noise is the correct term butafter another hour or two making adjustments etc I still have the same problem - so I have included an image circled with the problem I am referring to - just cant get it smooth... The rest of the tips were great by the way :) This is a re-renderi...

Thanks for the explabation - now that's more like what I would term a starting point. I thought you ran the script on existing flames - I always get these hopelessly skimpy looking non - symmetric shapes That C & P trick looks quite nice too but have to admit I still find editing gradients a bit tri...

I'll give this a look later on but I have asked a similar question in another thread. I spent several hours playing with a flame yesterday and no matter what the image still comes out very noisy - Banging Subsampler to the max cuts out a lot but not enough I have looked at all Flame renders on the D...

Eliminate Noise an render time

No matter what I seem to adjust before or at render time - I seem to end up with very Noisy Images. have looked at a lot of the Flame renders on the Deviant site and all of them look equally noisy. Any way to get nice crisp noiseless renders? Check out my Nemo's Wheel image and you'll get some idea ...

Second Question - Julians

Thanks Gandreas for the reply on Deviant re Julians. Thought I was going to get an email address from the support menu instead of more of the same but here we are... In answer to your reply - I would like to make Julians like the few I have attempted so far with Apo. Problem being that I have no ide...

Any way to render to either tiff or png with a transparent background? I have even set background to zero opacity with Flame and it still renders to black
