Re: Hello all... A little help if you will.

If it is a numeric die, you use the "d?" key on the dice keyboard (and pick yours from the list). If it is a textual die, you can do similar but tap "alt" and use the "t?" key on the dice keyboard. You can also do this to edit your die bar to show the custom die in it (I was playing "The Others" a c...

Dicenomicon+1

You may have been wondering what has been up with The Dicenomicon... The Dicenomicon has been completely re-architected and largely re-written from the ground up. The Dicenomicon was originally written for iOS 2.0 and was on the AppStore shortly after it opened. A lot has changed since then, but the...

And I'm in the middle of updating/moving other servers, so if there are problems, don't be surprised (it is only temporary. Hopefully)

Re: Server issues

Hopefully this has been transitioned to another server (depending on DNS resolution working correctly). If you see this, congrats, it is working!

Server issues

Due to hardware problems (repeated kernel panics probably due to bad RAM, or maybe Dwarves), I'm in the process of replacing all my server infrastructure. Hopefully most things are currently running now - this will change in the upcoming weeks as I transition to a new server by the end of the year. ...

Re: Trying to figure out how this thing works...

Double tap on the #1 in the formula and enter a prompt - that will let it know that this formula needs to ask the user for a value here (and what to tell the user the value is for).

(Screen sizes) they are a changing...

In the beginning, the screen width was 320 pixels, and it was good. Favorite rolls and formulas fit into 320 pixel. Later header/footer views were added, again fixed at 320 pixels. And even multiple tabs of rolls/views, all at 320 pixels and it was good. Then came the iPod - and one could make a sin...

Re: can't download

Thanks for the report - I'll investigate it if I can ever get anything to build again (the newly announced "unified" OS X and iOS developer program has totally broken my ability to work on anything)

Re: "The One Ring" building custom dice

I picked up a copy this past weekend, and I've skimmed through the rules a bit. It should be doable. Hopefully I can get some time soon to try to play through it a bit to figure out how to best set up something for it (since it seems interesting).

Re: Grayed out Dice

Here's the current solution: @X ← d+6 ∨ d+4. :badge:(“:disable:”, 3 - indexof(@X, $1, $2)). @X So you've got the first part figured out, but the next line uses the :badge: system function to mark one of the dice as disabled - to do so, it looks at the value of the higher one, finds it in the index o...

Re: Dicenomicon Lite and iOS 8 Issues.

Yes, this is a know bug (short version is that the animation is slowed to virtually zero when you do things like switch out or go to settings, but under iOS 7 and later it doesn't always return to full speed when you resume; more technically, the CVDisplayLink context can become "stale" if the displ...

Re: New Feature Request - Email Results Option

No, no easy way to send email with every die roll (plus the user could edit the results). Perhaps there could be some sort of "one time key" that you would generate and send to the player, would would enter that "somewhere", at which point it would take a screen shot after rolling with that key as p...

Re: New Feature Request - Email Results Option

This is certainly an interesting request - how would the GM know that the player hasn't changed the results? (The way to send email on an iOS device requires presenting a sheet that shows the email, and then allows the user to edit it). You could always just take a screenshot and then email that (ed...

Re: Need Help creating a favorite roll for D20 stats

Are you rerolling the 1's and 2's just once, or every time they show up? If it is the latter, then you are really just rolling a d4+2 (and so 4d4H3+6 will give you the same results). If it is the former, you can use the REO (re-roll once) roll macro on the dice. By saying "d6REO2" it will re-roll if...
