No, there is currently no 16 bit output available, though internally everything is actually calculated as floating point (and only converted to 8 bits at the very end). So in theory, adding support for 16 bit/channel would be fairly straight forward (barring internal AppKit related problems with 16 bits/channel), and would make a nice addition for the next version.
