Mondo Solitaire

Post by jomli39 » Thu Sep 29, 2005 7:07 pm

I downloaded mondo Solitaire, which adverises itself as allowing a choice of various types of solitaire. However, I can't figure out how to change from the Klondike game shown. Can anyone help me?

Thanks.

The various games and variations can be selected from the preferences on the back of the widget (click the little "i" button to flip it over).

I like to play the freecell on mondo solitare, but i noticed that, unlike other versions i have played only kings can be moved to open spaces on the board. i don't know if i have been playing by the wrong rules but other game versions (yahoo, windows) allow you to move any card to the open spaces.

Off hand, I don't remember where I got rules for it from (a quick search on the web show a couple variations on the rules), but it will be easy to change the "kings only" into a separate variation.

Both variants (the "kings only" and the "easier" version) of FreeCell are in version 1.1 (along with a whole bunch more games - the total is over 50 now).

Mondo Solitaire is absolutely fabulous.

My only suggestion is that the 6 cards looks like 5s - except for the 6 of Hearts. It's the only one that looks like a 6 because is has an arc on the top of the number.

The other 6s have a flat top, and I always mistake them as 5s.

Otherwise, it's great - AND it's not too big or not too small.

So there.

Have you stopped supporting Mondo Solitaire? I cannot find an active link for it ?
