Can't drag files onto Mondo dock
So, in the finder, click on the file/application. With the mouse button still down, click the keyboard command to invoke dashboard (by default, f12), and drop the icon on the little "down arrow".
If you've got dashboard set up to appear when you move the mouse into a corner of the screen, you can also drag the file there and dashboard will appear.
(Note that in general you can also do things like command-tab while dragging as well, or invoke Expose, allowing you to drag & drop between regular application that have lots of windows)
