Long Render Time

I'm using the 1.2 beta, and I'm rendering a 300 dpi image at 3000x3000 resolution. The Current Jobs window is saying it will take 13 hours to render! Is that normal or is it because of my pokey 400MHz processor?

Depending on what you set the number of iterations, your subsampling and anti-aliasing to, that could be correct. Picking a random image I had handy, set to 3000 x 3000, 2x antialiasing, subsample of 3, iterations of 1,711,000, it claims approximately 2:30 for a 2.5 gHz G5. So the 400 mHz G4 could easily be 6 times longer, making this example end up taking over 15 1/2 hours...

(And if you use the HDR1 rendering, it will be even longer)

Would just exporting the alpha channel make any difference?
