Astrologo and Vedic Astrology?

Postby Alchematron » Wed Jun 30, 2010 2:12 am

Hi Glenn,

I just purchased Astrologo and it looks great!

Do you plan to incorporate Vedic Astrology into the app?

Currently there is no Vedic Astrology app for the iPad and I would love to see you do it.

Also where do I input location for a persons birth chart?

Thank you

There are no current plans to add any Vedic specific features, beyond the current support for sidereal systems. If you'd like to make a list of what specifically you'd be interested in seeing, I can take a look and see how much work it would be to add them (I'm not very familiar with Vedic astrology in general).

To enter the location of the chart, go to preferences and turn off the using the current location, and then you can drag the dot on the map to the desired location (and make sure to set the time zone accordingly for that location as well).

This location/timezone are saved with the date/time when you save a report.

Thank you for your reply

Adding Vedic Astrology would only require a few additions

1. North and South Lunar Nodes aka Rahu and Ketu

2. Planetary Periods aka Vimshotri Dasha system

3. Chart Style North Indian (Diamond) South Indian (Square)

A basic introductory book is Astrology of the Seers by David Frawley

If I can be of help, just let me know

Kind regards
