Star Wars D6 2e Formulas

Post by Vainamoinen » Thu Jul 26, 2012 3:56 pm

Hi,

Dicenomicon seems to can do some cool stuff, but I'm such a bad jerk with maths that I don't understand a thing with these formulas.

So, if anyone can help me with formulas for Star Wars D6 (with wild dice), simple one like 1d6 or 3d6+2, I will be eternally grateful.

Best,

Charles

I got some code for you.

Code: Select all

#3 <- #1 - 1.
@wild <- 1rd+6.
@norm <- If #1 = 1 then #2 else #3gd6 +#2 end.
If @wild = 1 then "Mishap, Roll of" + @norm else "Roll of" + (@norm + @wild) end
This code will tell you when a mishap is rolled and the result of the dice roll without the wild dice. When no mishap is rolled the result includes the wild dice.

Copy and paste the code. Then define the parameter #1 and #2. #1 is the dice quantity. #2 is the modifier.

How you go about defining the parameter dependent on what keyboard you are using, if you are using the Dicenomicon custom keyboard then press on the #1 then double tap on it. If you are using the original or native keyboard, select the #1 as per the standard iOS cut and paste method then press enter. Here you can give the parameter a name and a default value.
