Not sure I understand how Ignore works.
Here's how I expect it to work:
I roll a d20 (eg to decide an attack in D&D).
I then want to roll a d8 (eg to decide damage).

So, in Dicenomicon, I tap the d20 from the bottom dice bar.
Say this gives me a bit I then want to roll damage.
I tap the d20, select Ignore, and tap a d8 from the dice bar expecting the d20 to be ignored and just see the results of the d8.

However, what I get is both results added together.

What am I missing?

I'm not sure what ignore is for, maybe as part of some other calculation.

If you want to roll for attack and then roll for damage you could create a "Favorite Roll"

Code: Select all

"Attack %1, Damage %2" % (@d20, 1d8)
This will roll a D20 and a D8 and show the results in text. Assume D20 rolled 15 and D8 rolled 5 it would say:

Attack 15, Damage 5

This is a very basic roll of course but it's what I started with :D

Tap the (i) button > Customize > General > "Shake Clears Ignore" > Off

It was an important feature to add at some point, I'm sure, but I don't remember exactly why... There may be a bug in there that makes this feature less useful than it was suppose to be.

(adding a new die counted as "shaking")
