Addition Error

Post by anlarye » Mon Sep 02, 2013 10:42 pm

I've noticed an addition error that keeps coming up. Not sure why it is happening.

Using 3rd generation ipod touch, with ios 5.1.1

Attaching an example. The dice formula is very simple too. Red d6 - Blue d6

This is just one such error. I have noticed it on other kinds of rolls as well.
Thanks for the assistance.

Even changed the formula to ( Rd6 ) - (Bd6) and I am still getting mathematical errors.

I am attempting to check other formula's to see if it is again happening in other rolls. I saw it happen a couple of times with the 4dF rolls, but I did not get a screenshot of it.

This is pretty interesting - I can't reproduce it anywhere.

Did you name the roll "d6-d6"? Because that formula at the top doesn't otherwise correspond to the dice rolled.

If you go to (i) => Game/Char => Feng Shui => Closed Roll: Gd6 - Rd6 => Roll does that work?

Yes it was one I created. I have removed it and recreated it and still get the same results.

I also have noticed that it seems to only happen when I shake the iPod to roll the dice. If I use the reroll button in the lower left corner. The math errors do not happen.

I am able to roll the Feng Shui dice just fine without errors when pressing the roll button. But if I shake the iPod, again I get the math error. Rolled two 5's and the result said -1.

Let me guess: The result of your previous roll was -1. There is no math error, it's the shake.
Please gandreas, fix this annoying bug once and for all!

Yeah, this problem is an aggravating bug that is obviously not high on the priority list for fixing. Hopefully it won't rear its ugly head the new versions.
