Trying to figure out how this thing works...

I've been trying to figure out dicenomicon for a while. It's a great die roller that I've used on my iphone for years.. Unfortunately I've never been able to figure out how to do custom dice. I've read through the instructions multiple times and find them baffling... I finally invested some time in setting a custom die roll and after several hours of fiddling managed to improve the roll to something that will work for the game I play... I chose the GURPS roll as a starting point and here is what I have so far:

@1 <- d% .
if @1 <= #1 then
"Success
else
"Failure
end

where <- is the assignment arrow and <= is the correct less than or equal operator.

Unfortunately I can't figure out how to assign the #1 value I see that the GURPS roll that comes with the app lists a '[#]' on the right hand side of the row where you pick the roll. I can't find anyway to make that come up with my custom roll.

Not sure how much traffic there is on this board, but I'd appreciate any help anyone can provide...

Double tap on the #1 in the formula and enter a prompt - that will let it know that this formula needs to ask the user for a value here (and what to tell the user the value is for).

I've tried spelling out the terms (e.g. Marginal Success; Critical Failure, but the second word in the string does not display... for some reason the text turns invisible... )

I've tried to look things up in the spell book but I get an error: Http:/1. Service Unavailable.

Okay, I've spent about 10 hours now trying to figure out how to customize dicenomicon, and while I really like the app, and really want to be able to adapt it to the primary RPG I play (HarnMaster), so far it has been a pretty frustrating experience. I've figured out how to move a game room xml file to my drop box folder where I can edit it and re-upload it and I've managed to do a couple of basic die rolls for the game:

I've been unable to find much of any documentation other than the few brief paragraphs available in the App itself. The links on both gandreas.com and dicenomicon.com are completely dead.

I have not been able to figure out how to even view the code for a character sheet (doesn't show up in the game room .xml file ) let alone figure out how to edit and or create one.

I can make a custom die, but can't figure out how to roll it once it's made.

Without an example of a roll macro or the ability to look at or edit the code of a roll macro I'm not sure what it should be used for.

It's incomplete but at least helpful in some key areas. Still can't figure out how to do anything with character sheets. Where is the XML file for the character sheet stored and how do I download/upload one?

Dunno anything about character sheets. Not even sure what D&D Edition they are for. I just use Dicenomicon for dice rolling.

Things have quieted down on the forum. Not much activity for many months. Glen was working on a Mac version, but I haven't heard from him, again, for many months. Hoping he's alive.

He did respond earlier to a post back in August... It's a nice app and I've been able to do some nice things with it. If i could figure out character sheets it would be very helpful. Hopefully will hear back from him soon.

Hmm,

Over a year and still no reply... If anyone knows how to edit/create a/the character sheet I'd appreciate some help. And yes, I've read the xml description. It doesn't tell you where the file is you need to edit or give an example.
