3d20 for talents, each is comprised of three of the basic attribites, sometimes one double, if above that one the amount over it is substracted from the talent value)

For those looking for something new, if I had the time, I'd definitely take a look at "Warrior, Rogue & Mage" <http://www.stargazergames.eu/games/warrior-rogue-mage/>

It's sort of a cross between TFT (for those of you old enough to remember it - otherwise think a very simplified, non-generic ancestor of GURPS) and d20, with a little feel of another overlooked game Throwing Stones.
