What's everybody playing?

Post by gandreas » Wed Oct 14, 2009 11:04 pm

In order to better gauge what sort of game systems to best work with, please take a minute and fill in this quick poll - unfortunately, there is only room for 10 options (and you can vote for all of them), so I tried to picked the more common ones - feel free to add your own "write-in" candidate here. I know that there's been support questions for MEGS/DC Heros, Burning Wheel, and I know I'm forgetting a few more.

My "others" include Shadowrun (4e) and my own house rule system (that uses exploding d10 die pools with a variable TN based on task difficulty).

Just played a session of "Spirit of the Century" and dang, that was awesome!
Will certainly play that one more often in the future. :D

Other:

Dark Heresy
Rogue Trader

Both done by FFG. Oh I also represent my gaming table which in total owns 5 copies of Dicenomicon so far.

I'll start promoting you on the FFG boards for the above games.

One Roll Engine games (Reign, Godlike, Wild Talents, Nemesis)

The lack of ORE support has kept me from buying Dicenomicon so far. I've been using MachDice, which is a good app, and handles ORE well, but it can't compare in terms of total features. I envy friends and players who've got Dicenomicon, but can't justify the cost without ORE. Add it, and I'll buy Dicenomicon that very day.

Things Mach doesn't do that would be great to have:
- Expert Dice (Reign, Nemesis)
- Called shots
- Sorting results by width of set, not just height (ideally, allow toggling between the two as a preference)
- Support for minion rolls for GMs (the only ORE rolls with more than 10d10)
- the ability to remove dice from minion rolls as minions are eliminated, without disturbing the rest of the result

Any questions on how ORE rolls work? Contact me and I'll be glad to help, or the publishers (Arc Dream, http://www.arcdream.com; Greg Stolze, http://www.gregstolze.com)

Thanks for considering this request.

My significant others are, in no particular order of importance:

Exalted (I'm thinking this might be included under either oWoD or nWoD, but the mechanics are too different to work with solutions targeted at either oWoD or nWoD)
7th Sea
Legend of the Five Rings

Other than this, we only do free-form, or alternative settings based on the systems above. In all cases, the Dicenomicon is a blessing
