MaPnakotic (MapTools on iPad/iPhone client) beta testing

So since I know there's some obvious interest here, time to start gathering information to prepare the beta testing.

Ideally, you should have used MapTools in the past, and have a machine to run a recent version of the server on (and enough familiarity to do so - I've been testing with 1.3b63, earlier version may not work correctly) - this current version is a "client only". Both iPad and iPhone/iPod touches are supported, with a minimum OS of 3.0 for iPhone/iPod touch, 3.2 for iPad.

I need your basic information (device information, server info, etc...), and the devices UDID - in iTunes with the device plugged in, click on the serial number (in the summary tab) and then selection copy from the edit menu, paste that long thing into a message and send it to me.

I sent out initial betas about a week and a half ago - the next batch will probably be later next week once I've recovered from WWDC...

Looks like missed out on the first batch then. I have a remote session I was hoping to try next week via tethered cell service from the road. I will watch for your PM then.

I am not in the beta, but I can tell you that running d20PRo and DMGenie on a desktop and controlling it via TightVNC and iTeleport on the iPad is...um..underwhelming...I might be able to do something with my desktop setup to help some of it, but I don't think this is the answer.

Having an on-device MapTools client would be a big win in my opinion. I'm now playing in two Pathfinder sessions and DM'ing a 4th Ed as well, all of which use MapTools.

I hope it's not too late to join the beta test bandwagon. I am running two pathfinder games using map tools and am currently using the iPad for game books and general note taking. I would love to be able to use it for maptools though especially given that one of the games is "in person" and the iPad would be less clunky while sitting with my friends.

Any screen teases (shots)? Looking forward to seeing this in action. Would love to test it too as Sushi is working to set up some remote gaming with our group.

Are you still accepting testers? If so I would be interested in testing for both the iPad and iPhone 3G

I'm still shuffling around things related to the iOS 4 release domino chain (new phone and new OS far sooner than expected, etc...) and trying to get The Dicenomicon 2.6 out the door.
