Best XML Editor

I have been looking for a good xml editor for making my character sheets. I would like your opinion (the viewer of this topic) as to which editor is the best. I am a beginner at this, so I'm hoping one of you know of an editor that has a wysiwyg (what you see is what you get) display of the finished product.

Sorry - I just use Xcode's built in text editing capabilities (which don't do anything particularly special for XML) because that's where I spend the rest of my day developing code for The Dicenomicon...

the problem I have been having with most xml editors, is because most of the code is in strings, especially the visual portion of the character sheet code, the wysiwyg view of the code doesn't display any of the buttons, bars, labels, or placement of said items properly.

I use "Programmer's Notepad" on a PC for XML editting.
It is a text editor, but it automatically enters the closing tag when you complete the opening tag.
It also does syntax highlighting.

PC - Notepad++
Mac - TextWrangler

If you wanna go overkill on Mac go Xcode, but TextWrangler and Notepad++ are amazingly great editors.

Depends on your platform, however I like xmlfox for mac and liquid xml editor for windows, both have wysiwyg, you might be able to find a free one as well, but its a case of trying outa few to see what fies yur workflow, see here for a fuller listand reviews for best xml editor.
